Everything’s jumbled
Palms sweating, mind racing
My words are hushed
Waiting for what’s next
Still awaiting to move on

Eyes stop blinking
Standing, frozen stiff
Time slows down
Emotions amplify

Focusing so hard
Trying to find the words
Trying to step forward

Not much to do, except watch
These thoughts, these views
Outlook shifting, mind bending
When did life become
even more complicated?
When did a blinding grey
Hit black and white?

Being older just hit me Harder
