Staring through the curtains of rain,
Watching her smile slowly fade away.
She runs her hand down the streaked window pane,
No one can see her tears that are hiding with the rain.
She stands alone on the balcony,
Staring into the mirror that is reflection-empty,
She holds to her heart a long dead rose,
Crumpling, blackening, as time flows,
Flows like the tears running down her cheek,
Flows like the pain that has left her unable to speak.
The image in a puddle is shattered by a tear,
She’s come to grips with her fear.
She does know that he won’t come back,
The mirror is thrown, the rose ripped in half.
With a voice raised towards the skies,
Slowly she closes her empty eyes,
And she vows with a sigh,
That comes tomorrow with the sun rise,
No more tears will fall from her eyes.
No more love will warm her soul.
No more openness from her heart.
No more rain for a stormy heart.
