did you notice the moon was sad tonight?
i wonder what was wrong
maybe it could hear my heart
singing its sad sad song

have you ever wondered
if the stars are the sad moons tears
that stay forever in the sky
to remind us over the years

there were so many stars out tonight
burning brightly in the sky
i think about the sad moons tears
wondering why does it cry

why is our pale moon so sad?
does it feel our pain?
maybe its what softens our tears
and stops us going insane
