Hatred Is A Mirror

Hatred is a mirror
The one we fear the most
We look it in the eyes
And turn the truth to the coast
This hatred is a spiteful thing
We see upon ourselves
Like a needle does it prick?
Yes with the same familiar sting
This hatred has a mirror
Looked on to often from afar
It has not one but two
It shows you who you really are
We reflect what we see
To all of those around
With racism and prejudice
We shoot they’re pride to the ground
Do we really mean it?
Will we forever stay the same?
Hurting all of those around
Do we ever dare to change?
Well some of us have tried
We succeed and we fail
Yet we always catch ourselves
Showing how we really feel
Very harsh and mean indeed
We see ourselves and hate it
But is this really what it seems….?
I see this mirror made of me
Made of hatred that I bleed
All of this that I see
Was this how I’m supposed to be?
Maybe I will change
Push everyone around
Show everyone what’s right
Make their pride fall to the ground
This hatred that’s a mirror
Reflected to those around
Showing who we really are
If we don’t change, our futures bound
Bound with ropes of fire
Burning our real thoughts
For this hatred is a mirror
That takes us to change us for worse
Now think of all you see
Look in hatreds mirror
Are you who you want to be?
Or is your future bound with fire?
