Leaving Again

What’s this again you’re leaving today?
You promised me that you were here to stay
Assuring me that you will never leave me
But I guess I’ve been played, now I see

I have given you my very best and more
Now you’re walking out that door
Leaving me empty, sad and lonely
Empty promises unfulfilled that you made to me

We have share so much happiness over the years
Grown close as a result, now I’m moved to tears
Before you must go I want you to know
That my love for you will continue to grow

If you love something you must let it go
If it returns then you can claim it as yours
So spread you wings my darling and fly away
I’ll always remember you each and every day

They say as time goes by it heal all wounds
But right now I am feeling betrayed by you
My heart is so heavy and fill with confusion
Of why you’re leaving, could this be an illusion?

Wishing you my darling the very best in life
I thought I was the one to be your wife
May you find the peace that you’re looking for
As you venture out in your world to explore

I love you more than you will ever know
Wish you could stay, but you have to go
I love you with every beat of my heart
My Love to you I will impart

Remember this one thing if we never see again
You reap what you sow, praying that your seed is not pain
Do unto others as you would have them do to you
Good luck my baby, you’ll always be my boo
