she said "i'll see you on monday"
that monday will never come
between the scream of brakes
and the snap of the rails
you were found in the wreckage
even superheros die

maybe i should've said something
unravel all the things i wanted to tell you
always crossing those thin white lines
i wish you'd just asked for help

i envy you in that box
hidden under the stone gray cross
6 feet under
and yet a lifetime away
i loved you
why did you leave me here?
i miss you
i'll be waiting for monday

monday will never come
