V1:
you thought everything we had would last
too bad you were living in the past
i used to not accept the fact
that if i lost you i might not get you back
you made too many mistakes
and all your words seemed so fake
so i gave you one more chance to make it right
but all we ever did was fight

Chorus:
im sorry it has to be like this
so i'll give you one last kiss
i better go away
i have nothing left to say-to you
don't know why i led you on
sorry i kept stringing you along
your heart was too easy to break
you just didnt have what it takes

V2:
thought you could get away with never calling
thought your love was enthralling
thought you could never fail
thought everything we had was like a fairy tale
i could have chose to stick it out
but i learned that it was you that i could be without
you were poison that had no trace
you were like walls closing in with no space

chorus

V3:
you thought ignoring me would make me want you more
but it just forced me to walk out the front door
made fun of me and called me names
left me broken and torn filled with shame
made me feel self conscious and unworthy
and your feelings and actions were becoming murky
drowned me in tears and self hate
too bad you still believe we're soul mates

chorus

Bridge:
you just weren't what i had built up in my mind
you couldn't have ever been good enough for me
