Shadow Of A Soul

I've become invisible,
Like silk riding through sand.
The preacher pon the pedestal,
A healer with no hands.

I've become the remnants
Of streets now paved with moss.
And slowly do I wander,
Though infinitely lost.

I've become the shadows
No one can control.
The ones no body notices,
The shadow of a soul.

The wisp beneath your tiptoe,
The darkness 'neath your feet.
The candlelight that flickers,
The smokeless memory.

Lingering like gunshots
Before their quick descent.
Hitting all but nothing,
Crashing 'pon cement.

The holy never vanishing,
We wander through the streets.
We serenade on mortal grounds
And watch the world sleep.

Happy dreams, for bed time thoughts,
But I must say goodbye...
For Every time this darkness falls,
The shadow in me dies.
