Once Upon A Dream

Once upon a dream,
We strolled down lover's lane,
Holding hands,
As securely as we could,
For fear of losing each-other.

Once upon a dream,
In a symmetrical meadow,
We lied under the stars.
Talking of nothing,
Other than the love we shared.

Once upon a dream,
Everything was perfect,
The only feelings felt,
Were of love and comfort.
Only tears of joy would be shed.

Once upon a dream,
We held each-other enduringly,
And shared enamored kisses.
All seemed magical,
Like what we shared was amaranthine.

What an ignominy this is,
For t'was only once upon a dream. . .
