shining brightly,
ever shimmer,
boiling hot,
an even simmer.

summer is here,
warm on my face,
please don't leave,
slow down the pace.

I want to be,
with you all day,
to run and laugh,
forever play.

but eventually,
time will pass,
I'll think of you,
on my way to class.

days will be months,
and months into years,
over that time,
I'll hide my tears.

summer will come,
yet again,
so long a time,
is surely sin.

We'll meet again,
please worry not,
just please know,
love you alot.
