She holds her ground
Solid, she doesn't sway

She speaks her mind
Her opinions stronger than
the ideas on which she used to build them

Her words, comforting as summer
burning like fire
Her actions, strong and assured,
confident and bold

Whenever I'm around her
I'm in awe
Of her composure,
her strengh
her will to succeed

She is
And always will be,
My Mother:
The one I love more than night and day
More than clothes or shoes or anything material;
More than the calm black of the ocean at night
More than life itself
