You’re like the sun that never sets
Always shining in the distance
I can count on you to be there
Every morning I wake
You surround me with the warmth
That only you can give
You light up the darkest places
That are in my mind and heart

You’re like the rain when the sun can't come out to play
Washing away the dirt
That is left behind by all my flaws and sin
You give relief to me who is always thirsting
For your touch and voice
You cool me down when I’m angry
The feel of my tears as you wash them away
Makes me want to stay forever in your arms

You’re like the earth
Which gives me a home
Where I can sit and lay
To rest in your eternal bed
You give me solid ground
Where I can stand
I can always count on you to catch me when I fall
And give me some place to rest my weary eyes
