Nobody's Home

It looks like I'm listening,
But nobody's really home.
Up there in my head,
In my own little world,
Where I hide all my doubts,
That this might work out.

It's a scary thought
That you might leave me,
And take my heart,
For you deceived me.
You made me look bad,
In front of everyone else,
But nobody's really home.

You can hit me and use me,
And pretend you don't care,
But I know you do.
I know you're ashamed.
Of yourself, not of me.
Because I never did anything to you,
I loved you but you never cared.
So nobody's really home.

I was just another pawn in your game,
Who you could never tame.
A pawn who loved you & fell for your game,
Who'll love you always,
Till the day that I die...
Of a broken heart.
And I can't help it,
So I'll pretend...
Nobody's really home.

~~I realize this poem could probably go under many categories, but I was
pretty mad when I was writing this, so here it is. Please rate or comment!!

Thanks -Liz~~
