Out Of Ashes

Dust now settled
Bearing only memories of yesterday
Interupted by Jets of Steel
Unaware of inevitable diaster
“Coffee clicks” and “paper shuffles”
Death by a cold-blooded men
Barbarically stormed towers of strength
Now lay crumbled in remnants of shattered dreams
Like a dagger through the heart of Freedom
Four blows…stunned silence…scenes replayed!
again and again
Tears
Tears
Tears…
Eyes blurred by smogs of smoke
Why? How?
Chuches filled with mourners
Coming to grips with reality
Where are you God?
Could this catastrophy take place again
In the great US of A?
Etched into our minds forever
Disbelief turns to despair
The Eagle emerges from the ashes
Bruised not beaten
Stronger than ever
Rubble of distruction
Vow to rise again….
