Never Apart

This is a tale of two
They hang from a thread
Friendship and kin
Confessions unsaid
They still conversed
And finally one day
One was freed, then knew
What he must say
So now they are happy
But not quite content
They’re blind but not mute
To join they’re intent
Apart but together
Each other unseen
There’s still a spirit
That flies in between
Its wings are gentle
The purpose to unite
It gives them hope still
Carrying a guiding light
The wings are eternal
They’ll reach anywhere
Though different talons
Might cause some despair
Their bond is too strong
To allow them to falter
However, oceans will cause
Their whole lives to alter
No matter the distance
They’re joined by their hearts
Though constantly separated
They’re never apart
