Momma Had Warned Me.

He called me by her name,
he showed no shame.
I thought he was the best,
but he was just like the rest.
He had a nack for being nice and sweet,
but in the end he was just like a tack, sharp and scary.
His anger never soared until that night.
If only he hadn't had the knife.
Momma had warned me,
but i thought he was the best.
She said she remembered the same temper...she was reminded every time she
looked in the mirror. But i won't be looking in anymore mirrors thanks
to that selfish man who cried no tears.
