Susan's silent tears

I would like to share with you this story of a girl call Sue
Beautiful as a flower in the fresh morning dew
Never experienced the true meaning of man’s Love
But she knew that God Love her and watched her from above

Her search for happiness was found in all the wrong places
In men she had confided in but they left her in loneliness
Then along came this man she thought was her Prince charming
Started out well, until the wrath of his fist emerged without warning

I knew from that moment things will never be the same
Warned her to leave him, she said “I am to be blamed”
His disguised was clearly recognizable
The writings on the wall, undeniable

The beatings continued and grew in intensity
I loved her so but she would not listen to me
Sometimes she was confused wondering if its something she did
She locked her emotions inside that’s where she hid

This is not how it works this pain and deceit
She thought true love was forever and sweet
It hurt me so much to witness her pain
She weathered the storm and have seen lots of rain

Once again I pleaded to her to get away from him
But her eyes were blinded or perhaps a bit dim
The hurtful words surely hit their mark
Verbal missiles launched yet she did not talk

Her tears begin to fall “Oh, Please will someone help her?”
Who’s going to bail?
I guess we will never know
For there lies her blood trail

No more crying at nights
For she’s given up the fight
Here in my arms lie her little one
How can she understand that her Mom's gone

For these tears I shed will someday dry
but I'll never forget how Susan died
How peaceful she looks, but nobody knows
The pain and torture she endured

I'll do my best someday and explain why she die
Hush little baby now don’t you cry
Heaven’s got an angel…
Now lets say goodbye…

Let this be a warning for those who are in abusive relationships
wont you please exit now before he flips
You're worth so much more than this controlling freak
From where she lies she cannot speak

RIP
Here lies the past
Burried but not forgotton
Her name is Susan
