where are you
your body lies in a bed
but thats not where your mind is
you can feel the coldness of the sheets
but you can’t grasp them
you can’t move anything
your mind isn’t with the rest of you

where are you
you see four familiar walls around you
you struggle through the darkness
to see what the figure across from you is
a dark shadow lays upon the floor
huddled in the corner
a dark liquid seems to surround it
what is it

where are you
a hand gently touches your face
you want to look at who touched you
but you can’t open your eyes
your mind won’t send the signal
its not with you

where are you
you try to focus on the figure
its becoming clear
a human
but who

where are you
the darkness has covered you
but the voices are still heard
you want to get up
but you can’t

where are you
you move a little closer
on your hands and knees
carefully placing your hand in the liquid
what is it

where are you
you can hear the cries of others
you can recognize the voices
you try to call out
but nothing happens

where are you
you look at your fingertips
covered in this liquid
crimson red
blood

where are you
the voices are closer
right by your side now
you want to reach out to them
but you can’t move

where are you
your eyes widen in shock
you panic but move closer
the image becomes clearer
the face being seen

where are you
another hand touches you
as a tear hits your skin
its not your own tears
its theres
your loved ones

where are you
you start to gasp for air
you realize who it is
the one in need
the one bleeding
the one fading
its you

where are you
you lay inside your coffin
your death bed
watching your death
right before your eyes

where are you

your dead
