Many days have past since you left me,
Leaving the house empty and stark,
Only left inside are nothing but a distant memory,
All the good times and the bad now abandoned in the dark.

The floors creak at every step I take,
It screams with neglect and pain,
And the tears flow down to form a lake,
Only to evaporate, leaving a blood stain.

Asking myself, "What have I done wrong?",
As I slump to the ground,
Looking for a helping hand to make me strong
Again, but there's no one around.

I'm lost without you,
Missing all the things you do,
The warm smile, your pleasing heart,
Brightens my day, granting me a new start.

But I can reminisce for days here,
And it will only depress me more,
Growing restless, amounting from my fears,
When you disappeared from my life behind the door.
