I've sworn to myself
That with you,
I could not be bothered.
I couldn't care less
About your opinion
Regarding me,
Or anything I do
And why should I,
After all you've put me through?
To emotional hell and back
That's where you sent me.
You were Jeckyl and Hyde,
Nice guy one minute
And the next,
I was trash
Or so you sometimes made me think,
And with shaken confidence
I felt so insecure
But all that,
That's over now,
I've cried,
I've changed,
I've grown,
I've moved on.
It took me awhile,
But after all this time,
I've gotten on with my life,
I've gotten over you,
Finally become able to
Consider you simply part of my past
After I've loved and lost,
And at long last,
I've left you behind.
