The light goes out
All becomes still
Children deplore
And dogs bawl.
A thin luminescent form
Blankets the night sky
All the stars flicker for a moment
Then it passes.
The sky goes expressionless
No clouds with a silver lining
The eagle no longer soars
Proud and free.
The clocks tick and bells ring
Trying to call of the silence
Horses stomp and babies giggle
Still no relief.
Then out of no where the heavens open
A light shines down
The lace unravels
The stars come on.
The vail has lifted
It’s now lost.
