theres something lurking in the shadows
something i cant see
always staying out of sight
always watching me

i see it out of the corner of my eye
hiding in the shadows
i feel its eyes on my back
and i feel like im for show

i hear it whispering my name
and quickly flip on a light
but then i turn the light back off
because somehow i love the night

this evil thing
it scares me
but for some reason
i just cant leave

i feel it creeping up my back
and somehow love its touch
it slowly curls around my legs
and it doesnt hurt too much

i love this evil thing
its touch is oh so cold
this feeling is so different
so extremely bold

but wait a second, im not myself
this thing is taking over
i feel as if im sharing my brain
with this unseen lover

i hear its voice inside my head
no longer mine
now its talking for me
its voice no longer kind

its flowing in my veins
filtering out the good
controlling all my thoughts
i didnt think it would

it made me open up the drawer
and made me pull the trigger
left me while i was on the floor
the puddle growing bigger

my blood
it was everywhere
i had
only an empty stare
my evil love
it left me there
