The Red Snow

Tears freeze in place, my breath is seized from my lips and hangs in the
air.
The atmosphere around me tenses, ringing with my despair.
I fall down into the snow,
Holding my face, feeling your every blow.
I close my eyes and dream of death,
As the cold threatens to steal away my breath.
Snow falls onto my face,
And I smile, feeling its icy embrace.
The snow beneath me begins to turn red,
But I don't feel scared, I feel happy instead.
I'm more afraid of what your eyes were implying,
Than I am of dying.
I don't want to feel your hate,
I would rather have the cold seal my fate.
