Your tears were falling
As I walked away
Trying to hold my pride in place.
Maybe one day, you can forgive me
Forgive me for the pain
And sorrow I released.
I see your face.
Hiding in the shadows
Drifting farther in time
Away from me
And people who love you.
Yes, I love you
But, pain is existant and must be shown
Or you will never live a true life
A life I have known for so long.
So please
Do not ignore my plea.
Come out of your little darkened corner
And imagine the reality
In which we have become.
