Reflection Of Self

No matter what game she plays
She always plays the pawn
No matter the amount of days
She always forgets what planet she’s on
There’s always something on her mind
She uses thoughts to occupy her time
She tries to think of things to find
But finding love, her only crime

She’s a day sleeper and a night dreamer
She’s a memory keeper and a dream weaver
Can you tell her the real reason she’s here?
Can you erase the pain?
Could you take away all the fear?
Or is it all just in vain?

She’s a what-ever-you-want-her-to-be
At what ever time
But you can’t even see
She’s got hurt on her mind
Never knows the date, but can always tell you the time
Everything ends in hate, and love IS the only crime
She thinks too much and cries once a week
Uses love as her crutch, yet never finds what she seeks

She’s a day sleeper, and thinks at night
A memory keeper, only trusting her heart for sight
Her eyes are liars, little pools of pain
Constant criers, keeping her sane
Finding beauty within strange and love in strange too
Always wishing for a change that’s been long over-due

She’s a dream weaver and a day sleeper
A light deceiver and a memory keeper
Never knows how to be
Always hates a show
Never saying sorry
But she’s all I’ll ever know
