her eyes blink open after countless years
"what is this strange unusual place?"
hiding behind her pretty mask
no one can see a tear-streaked face
she looks around; take it all in
her mind screaming in sync with each breath
"i can't understand... where am i?'
an emotionally painless death
a sweet catashrophe upon her mind
all other thoughts behind bars
as she stares into her reflection
her vision fades without harm
she feels around only to find
her broken butterfly wings
she can't help but think to herself
"great, it only hurts when i breathe..."
these conversations with her mind
only bring her down to her feet
this is what happens to any who awake
in the darkness of arsenic street
