Silver tears slip down her cheeks
Dripping off of her chin
Her olive green eyes are all watered down
As she stands there waiting for him
She grips the red roses harder than before,
The thorns pricking frail hands
Endure the pain. He'll come back for you!
She thinks, forcing herself to stand
A light breeze begins to blow
The air lifts, sounding the chimes
The blood still flowing from her palms
As doubt begins to flood her mind
One streak of black eyeliner
Now borders the path of a tear
She now stands in the middle of a storm
Facing her one and only fear
A car passes an unnoticed girl
Splashing mud on a worthless face
A rose petal falls to the ground
As she still stands in her place
And as you now know for this awkward youth,
A lonely and strange beauty queen,
Without her love, her outcast knight
It has been a very unsweet sixteen
