Let Us Dance

The trees around us
rustle
as the wind blows through
their leaves.
The water will quietly
crash
as each of our hearts
beat.
Let us dance like this,
let us be like this forever.
Let us dance.

My wet bare feet are
tingling
as we circle upon this cool
grass.
Inside our hearts are
smiling
as our minds forget the
past.
Let us dance like this,
let us be like this forever.
Let us dance.

The moon is never
dying,
while the sun already
has.
The fragile world has stopped it's
turning,
but our circles never have.
Let us dance like this,
let us be like this forever.
Let us dance.

Not a single sound is
stirring,
nor have our flags gone
burning.
No dark clouds have been
storming
as our love here is
conforming.
Let us dance like this,
let us be like this forever.
Let us dance.

The best times of our lives are
now,
so let us not waste them on
forever.
A simple star shines above
us,
as traces of this present
kiss
seem better than the
other.
Let us dance like this,
let us be like this forever.
Let us dance.
Let us dance.
Let us dance.
