To a loving mother

A small house sits alone with memories of a loving family. The
grass grows tall where children once played. The living room
remains forever cold where a loving husband and respected
father took his last breath.

Although the house sits empty, it’s still full of many secrets and
hard times of a family that will never forget. The decision to sell
was a tough one, but years of joyful moments now haunted a
lonely mother. As she took her last look around, her tears flowed
like a river. One last time, she would lock the front door before
leaving the house forever. The years flashed by, as she quietly
departed.

When my father passed away my mother took it very hard. My
parents were not only husband and wife, but also the best of
friends. For years cancer slowly took over his body, but she
stayed by his side to hold his hand and wipe his brow. She is,
and always will be, a hero in the eyes of a son that is forever
grateful.

Dedicated to my mother
