sittin on his bed
lookes around at all he has
wishes instead
he could just have back his dad

they were so close
said the vow
then he got a dose
of what married life
is actaully like

then his dad didnt want it
like he had thought
thought it was lotsa fun
now he thinks that not
said he was done
left 'em
never seen again

watchin t.v.
and he sees
what happened to him
cant stand it
starts to sin
says he cant help it

his mom says shes sorry
doesnt like it either
he doesnt listen
his position
is not good
knows what he should
do to be different
just doesnt want to

slippin deeper
in to his hole of self pity
his road gets steeper
harder to get though life
with all this strife
thinks he cant make it
even though he can
needs to stand up and be a man

every night
curses God
hes out of light
questions why
wants to die
stop the cryin
but hes lyin
to himself by sayin that
cause this story can end another way
he can live for another day
