THE SIN WITHIN THE BITTER AND THE SWEET

A bitter taste with a sweet face
Its change in pace, its willingness to replace a diamond in the ruff that’s
left uncut
Bittersweet memories, particles of dust

This thief lurks, constantly in search of the next victim in distray, on
them it viciously preys
It seeks, devours and steals lives minute after minute…hour after hour
Away you run, but your body it still encases
Bittersweet memories revive familiar faces

Resurfacing pain and fear, causing confusion
Don’t believe its lies or allow its intrusion
When it blocks your path, storm right pass; It’s all an illusion that will
not last
Sex, money, and fame…the hurt, the blame
Soon it turns to murder, your hands blood-stained
Take life by force, no remorse or refuse not to try and end up a corpse
It’s your life…you choose
It’s your call, you win or you lose
And when you’re sure of the choice you’ve made
Your bittersweet memories will soon fade away
