Each day that passes
I grow deeper and deeper
Into myself
Into nothingness
Into something I wish I could change

I see my life as it passes
See the years fly by
Wanting to be involved
But being kicked out
Door shut on my face
Window slammed
Only letting me watch

I see my childhood
I was a very quiet kid
Yet with a smile on my face
I fooled everyone
I fooled them into thinking I was happy
I fooled myself

Here come the teens
The beginning of my escape
The escape into my mind
The withdrawal
Where you talking to me?
No, I didn’t think so.
I’ll go to my room now.

The older, the wiser
The parents, the liars
What a wonderful word
I
live in.
The perfect place.
The perfect demise.
