*Daydream*

In the middle of the starry night,
Under the glow of
The luminous full moon,
You take me in your arms,
Holding me in an embrace so tight,
And being with you just feels so entirely right,
When you tell me,
"There's no one else
With whom I'd rather be," and,
"You may not be perfect,
But it doesn't matter,
'Cause you're perfect for me,"
These sweet words are whispered
So softly and sincerely
And all of my problems
Just seem to melt away
Completely.
I wonder how I ever lived
Before that fateful day
When you entered my life
To help ease me through
All the stress and the strife.
When you look into my eyes,
You don't have to say a word;
I can tell that you love me.
But much to my misfortune,
Reality always seems to
Find its way back,
Bursting the romantic bubble,
Shattering this wonderful fabrication
Of my imagination
This mere daydream in my mind.
