I sit and think about you all the time
It takes away all of my attention to anything
I sit in class and think about you
I lie in bed and think about you
You are always on my mind
I haven’t even met you in person
Yet you have made such an impression on me
That I can’t get you out of my head

I think about what it would be like to kiss you
To know that you are next to me
I want to know what it would be like to touch you
Have a conversation with you that’s not written
Face to face

I want to know what you look like
I want to see your face a few feet away from me
I want to be able to hear your voice
Laugh out loud with you
Not LOL with you

These things may never happen
These things may not come true
But one thing I must tell you is
I sure hope they do

When I think about all the things that you have said
All the nice things,
Things that can turn my sadness into cheerfulness
It’s like you know the right thing to say
Every time.
You listen to the things I say
You say things to me that no one has ever before
You make me feel good about myself
About my writing
About everything I want to be
And I thank you for that

I thank you for everything you have given me
You have helped me through so much
Stuff you may not even know about
I may not be able to repay you
I may not even be able to actually get to meet you
But I want you to know that I am thankful
For having the connection we do
For being able to talk with you
I want you to know this too,
That even though I may be across the country from you,
There is someone out there that cares about you
And I appreciate everything you have done for me.
