Death So Sweet

We loved endlessly
Unbroken
No need to be spoken
I knew it
So sure of what
I wanted to believe
You left without
Reason or notice
Do you relish in your freedom
Knowing that I’m dying
Without you?
Is it like a score board
Keeping track of all
The tears I’ve cried
Don’t strain yourself
I’ll spell it out for you
One for every word you whispered
Two for all the syllables uttered
Infinite
I’m burned by your absence
The solitude scars me
Left numb and frozen
No feeling
Moving is killing
I’d rather lie here and bask
In my sorrow
Drown myself in bloody tears
Swallow this steel bullet
With a fine glass of burgundy
It’s my plan
To die by your side
Unattached
I hope you stand under the oak
Where we met
When they bury me
And blame yourself
I want you to know guilt
Then and at night
Forever more
You’ll be doomed
To cry me a river
Longer wider and deeper
Than the one you birthed
Your screams will ring
Throughout eternity
You’ll die like me
Lost and alone
