They're waiting...

The bullet rips through
skin and flesh.
As you see yourself falling,
into the depths.

Your life flashes before your eyes,
and you see all the things you've done. And all the things you've
lived for, without even thinking to run.

You look down to see if it's real,
and there is blood on your shirt.
You wish it was something else like a drink or dirt.

As you fall to the ground,
your face turns pale.
You feel jaded and worn,
As you feel with your hand, the blood, where the flesh is torn.

You begin to fade,
and drift away from the Earth.
It's inevitable to happen,
dieing after birth.

It's a shame you must leave,
But we know you have to go.
It seems like you deserved it,
because they are waiting for you below.
