Hiding My Face

The wind is whipping through my hair,
And my arms are crossed over a body that feels so bare.
I'll never forget what you did to me,
You lied and lied, until your deception was all I could see.
Tears splash down, forming my ruined life.
You've ruined my very soul, and so I will bring it back with this knife.
I'll cut out the part of me that you wanted to most,
That way you'll never be able to boast.
I feel like I'll never be clean again,
I feel so weak because I wasn't able to defend.
I thought you loved me!
But now I see, the only thing you wanted from me.
I'll never trust anyone else, so long as I live,
And I'll never be able to forgive.
