The midnight air was calm,
Not a sound for miles could be heard,
As she quietly left his side,
Without saying a word,
She know in her heart that she had to leave,
Living there simply wasn't safe,
So she quickly got her things,
Quietly, she prayed he wouldnt awake,
She knew what would happen if he caught her,
The thought made her choke back tears,
But deep down inside she knew,
He was her worst fear,
Her heart was beating uncontrolling,
Paranioa began to sink in,
As she began her escape,
To get far away from him,
She took one... two... three...,
Steps cautiously down the stairs,
Careful not to make a sound,
For he might hear and find her there,
After what seemed a lifetime,
She made it to the bottom floor,
She knew it was now or never,
As she walked out the door,
She slid into the drivers seat,
Her mind started racing,
She knew that she had finally escaped from him,
As she drove into the night, her body still shaking.
