The Worst Kind

You’re just a sonnet
With every passing day
Of things I’ll never forget
I always love you in a new way
Why does the rain remind me of you
Love, hurt, pain, crying
They always do too
You keep me from dying
With a dark angelic sin
And a love so true
A blackened heart within
A love more than I knew
Something that was destined to fail
Right from the start
Somehow had the strength to prevail
Mending this broken heart
Too far is the distance between you and I
Too far away is my soul
Too far away until I’m alive
I’m drowning in this toll
Nothing will compare
To the touch of your face
You’d erase the despair
This wouldn’t be such a cold place
A cold shadow washes over me
And it’s from lack of you
You’re everything I need to be
Everything that’s true
I only miss you when I think of it
I see you in my mind
Until I tell myself to quit
A love of the worst kind
