Your words follow me into another lifetime,
They keep me trapped in this limbo, as if I've commited some crime.
Invisible chains hold me to the place of my end,
I'm stuck here forever to the place where I did transcend.
I stretch out my arms, trying to break free,
But my bonds hold fast, restraining me.
I see my loved ones, passing before my eyes,
But they cannot see me, and I cannot escape from these ties.
Sometimes my family looks in my direction from across the room,
But I know that they are oblivious to me as I hide in this curtain of doom.
I miss them all, I reach out to them when I may,
But my fingers pass through them, much to my dismay.
They hear my shrieking, but they mistake it for the wind,
They cannot see me in my place where I am pinned.
