You say my eyes are beautiful
but did you really look that deep
because these eyes of mine
have seen more pain
and more hard times
then most eyes have seen
yet these eyes of mine are young
still you can see, see what
the wisdom of pain has taught me
my eyes may be beautiful
but my eyes are worn
and they are pained by what they see
by the suffering and the hardships
by what my beautiful eyes have seen.
