I can still remember

I can still remember the first time we met...
Having laughter and joy, that day I will never forget.
I can still remember my small crush on you...
As I looked into your eyes, I always knew I was safe with you.
I can still remember the way you made me smile...
Sitting in class, dropping a heavy book, got so sudden after a while.
I can still remember the way you would call me in class...
Not worrying about the teacher, just taking a chance.
I can still remember the way I was told that you had died...
The teacher could not say it, so a friend had to, and I broke down and
cried.
I can still remember the day like it is here right now...
How bad I cried and knew I had to go on without you somehow.
I can still remember who I hugged and what was said...
"Oh My God, Tiffany, Tell Me He's Not Dead."
I can still remember walking from the class...
Thinking of how you were not going to be there with the days to pass.
I can still remember the way my heart broke in two...
I wanted to die with you so bad, sometimes I still do.
I can still remember the way I was told not to cry...
"He is in a better place now, you don't need to cry, just cope with your
goodbye."
I can still remember the rest of that year...
Going to high school without you was such a big fear.
But most of all, I remember our times together...
And for those I am so happy because those moments are what I will always
treasure.
