I don't understand
Why people act so fake.
They say they don't like icing,
Then they eat up all your cake.
They're determined to be holy,
Yet they damn you when you speak.
They were born within them good
Along the line they tore a leak.
They realize once to patch it up,
Yet patching comes quite loose.
Then the wound, it just gets bigger
'Til patching does no use
They keep straying from the fact
That they're not themselves at all.
They wear the mask and do the act
Then run straight into a wall.
Why do we live our lives this way?
It's time to crack the case
Figure out what life's about.
Don't let it go to waste!!!
