Holding Hands

Lord knows I love you
And I could never find greater words
To express that. But the greatest feeling of all, is holding your hand.

The first time I saw you fall
I ran to your side to help you up
And when you stood,
We were holding hands.

On our first date
We shared many laughs
And doused each other with emotion. And when you left I held you hand.

When we stood before our families and friends, showing them our love was
ever lasting. We left the altar , we left the reception holding each others
hand.

Being in that room for hours
Hearing your screams and growls
Made it all worth while, at the sight of our child, as I held you hand.

Now, as if death seems to clutch my throat, my life is displayed in a matter
of seconds. Looking in your eyes, seeing all I've known, and fall
away...holding your hand.
