A House Not Home

Been 14 years now
Longing for that unforgettable love
Running in darkness
Wondering where to go
Running in the dark
Getting lost at every turn

Searching for my home
Wanting out of this house
Longing for love
And to escape from the hate

Every task is thrown at me
It tumbles me farther and farther
Each and every step
I ache longer and longer

Labels
And every name in the book
Shouts and commands around every corner
Do this and that’s
Wanting to be home

In the endless climb up
Out of the wretched house
Are the commands you said
To hammer me down
Keep me here
Locked away in the house
And not at home

"Poets Note... This is my story, my fight to be home, but still I am held
here with my father, keeping my from the happyness of home with my mother.
The pain that I feel grows more and more, for all that man can do is think
about is custody and not the happyness of the beloved investment."
