The Clock

Dark an windy night
The clock had just struck 10
The deafening echo ran throughout the house
Bouncing off the dark stark walls
The sleuth slipped out
Emptying the house for the night

Empty the house was
Ever since 6
Leaving the precious daughter
The good doctor had said
We will be home soon honey
We’re be just out for a night of fun

The clock struck 9
And glass was shattered
In came the wind
Cooling the princess
Picking up the covers
She peeped outside

Right there was the monster that took her life
Ended it and smeared it all over the stark walls
For the parents to see
The clock struck 1 the lights were flashing
They said it was just one
That took the life

The clock struck 5
The maids came in
Hanging from the ceiling the good doctor and wife hung
Took their own life
For they had done wrong

The clock struck noon
They were laid
Into the dark ground
Right there on the stone
Written in font
Here lays the princess and the good doctor and his wife
Hung and slaughtered
For just one night of fun

"Poets Note...This isn't a true story, just a tale created by
me....kinda thought of it and thought it might be good. Enjoy!"
