¤I woke up and saw a tear in my mothers eye,
a fading sun in that dark blue sky,
i asked god "Why, why did the world stop when the firemen rushed to the top
of those twin buildings?"
Tears from my eyes would flow,
tears from the whole world, i know.
Watching the awful site,
firefighters,police and volanteers, digging through the ruble all night.
its sad how u can hear the mother tell her children it will be alright,
but really u know it wont.
watchin the building come down in tons,
watching the children and adults faces,
as they wait for word on their loved ones.
I held back the tears,
as i watched peoples lives being taken away,
on that september day.
Wishing i was as powerful as god to save their lives,
The world could do nothing but say their goodbyes.
You can just hear the sound of the angels wings,
coming down to save the brave human sufferings.
The firefighters ran to the rescue,
they did the best they could do.
How sad that day was,
knowing families lost their loved ones.
on this day every year it hasnt changed to whatever,
its one of those days that will be remembered forever,
it was the day america came together!¤
