Running through the fields,
Our hands passing over the top of the grass,
We laugh as we chase each other into the woods.
Children we once were,
But lovers we have become.
With our arms locked around each other,
We linger under a sky of glistening green.
We sit against trees,
Our faces golden,
Turned up to the light as it passes through the leaves.
We smile at the passing of the sun,
Thrilled to see the stars hovering above the fields.
We jump up into the air,
Trying to catch the stars in our hands,
As if catching lightning bugs,
Like children again.
We fall back onto the ground,
Passing the night away,
Locked in the saftey of an eternal embrace.
In the morning we run back to our homes,
With a silent promise that we will meet again,
Under the open skies, with kisses and light touches.
