Does it matter?

Does it matter
That the people you cherish in your life hurt you the most
When you've given all that's within you and more
but no one seemed to return that love to you
And in return left you all alone?

Does it matter
When you reached out to your best friend
to confide in when all hope is gone
To lean on because you are feeling so empty
And in return they could not fill that void?

Does it matter
When you are fill with optimism and suddenly let down
By an uncaring individual who sought to seek your distruction
to rain on your parade and take away that enthusiasm and zeal
And in return left you seeking answers?

Does it matter
That you are not part of the “click” because you do not measure up
others disregard your presence or existence and belittle you
Then they scornfully laughed and looked down on you
And sadly you walk away feeling so depress?

Does it matter
That your parents whom you love wholeheartedly
Could not begin to understand the debt of your hurts
to hug and love you unconditionally despite it all
and you question yourself “who is out there that truly cares”?

Remember this!

When you have sought this world over
and you're looking for an answer
you're tried everything within your power
to satisfy your deep longing desire
You're In need of Love and comfort
but this world cannot guarantee that
Look deep within your soul you'll find
A love beyond measure and kind
Man cannot fill that empty space
Lean on God and cast your cares
and you'll find that nothing else really matters
