Passion of Christ

They say the “Passion of Christ” was quite controversial
I say “way to go Mel Gibson” the message was awesome
What a depiction of unconditional Love
That my Savior endured from up above

Hollywood could not begin to touch the surface
On a cross He suffered “O what sufficient grace”
He could have called ten thousand angels to save him
But instead He bled and died for mankind freedom

On the third day He rose in all glory and power
And is seated at the right side of his father
Making intersession for you and for me
So your sins can be forgiven and you can be free

He is coming again someday with a shout of acclamation
To claim his spotless bride saying “well done”
To this world I’ll be bidding a mighty farewell
I’ll be going home to be with my Lord to dwell
